Crane Aerospace & Electronics Supplying Brake Control System for Northrop Grumman's YFQ-48A Talon Blue Autonomous Aircraft
BURBANK, Calif - May 18, 2026 – Crane Aerospace & Electronics, part of the Aerospace & Advanced Technologies segment of Crane Company (NYSE:CR), is supplying an innovative Brake Control System (BCS) solution for Northrop Grumman’s YFQ-48A Talon Blue autonomous wingman aircraft. Crane A&E’s BCS played an integral part of Talon Blue’s successful taxi testing Thursday, May 14, in Mojave, California.
Crane A&E is collaborating with Northrop Grumman to provide a rapid development BCS solution that leverages Crane A&E’s highly modular and adaptable Standard Systems Architecture. This approach provides industry-leading anti-skid braking performance and pedigree for safe and effective landing at an optimized schedule and cost for Crane A&E customers.
