Crane Aerospace & Electronics manufactures Brake Temperature Monitoring Systems (BTMS). These systems are available as either a product integrated with brake control systems (such as the one provided for the USAF C-17), or as a stand-alone product. Accurate brake temperature measurements can be output to the cockpit to assist a pilot in determining safety of flight status. This data can be integrated into any cockpit interface (for example: EICAS, display panel, over-temperature indicator lights).

Typical BTMS features include:
