Lynnwood, Wash. –
July 17, 2007 – Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co. (NYSE:CR),
announces the appointment of Allan Day as General Manager and Director
of its Electronics Manufacturing Solutions (EMS) business based in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this capacity, Day will be responsible for
manufacturing operations as well as sales, quality, operational
excellence and strategic deployment. Crane EMS provides electronic
manufacturing services, from prototype to production, of high-quality,
high-reliability electronic cards, boxes, sub-systems, and systems for
the aerospace and defense markets.
Prior to joining
Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Day was the Director of Global Strategies
and Program Management for Wyndham Worldwide. Before that, he was with
United Technologies Corporation in various roles, including assignments
in marketing, finance, automotive, manufacturing, and e-business. He
also has experience in functional leadership and implementation of Lean
Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Day holds a
Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in
Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
from Case Western Reserve University.
