Jay Hall appointed Vice President Business Development

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – April 28, 2005 – Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co. (NYSE: CR), announces the appointment of Jay Hall as Vice President Business Development. In this role, Hall will be responsible for leading business development and marketing activities for strategic Electronics Group customers including BAE Systems, Smiths Aerospace, Honeywell Aerospace and United Technologies Corporation. Hall will also be involved with strategic and operational plan development, strategic partnerships and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Hall served as Aftermarket Business Unit Manager for Valcor Engineering Corporation in Springfield, New Jersey. Before that, he held a variety of sales and marketing management positions with Smiths Aerospace in Rockford, Illinois, and, previously, with Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Hall received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Hartford, and an M.S. in Management and Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Hartford.
