Redmond, Wash. –
July 20, 2004 –
Interpoint, part of
the Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a Crane Co.
segment announced a new Space DC/DC converter family, the SMRT. The SMRT
products all have wide input voltage ranges and are available as single,
dual, triple or quad outputs. “The SMRT is a new generation of space
products with a huge amount of flexibility to meet most customers’
requirements. They include a number of “firsts” for Interpoint which add
value to the customer: fully internal filters, low temperature operation
for deep space applications and a variety of radiation level
guarantees,” said Lou Bieck, president of the Electronics Group of Crane
Aerospace & Electronics.
The SMRT converters incorporate 2 independent feedback loops in a
two-phased flyback design. Each set of outputs is isolated from each
other and the input voltage can easily be changed for nominal 28V, 50V,
70V or 100V input bus use. Screening levels of O, H or K (referenced to
MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534) are offered. The SMRT is available now
with prices starting at $5,000 each in quantities of 100
