Gregory A.
Ward
President, Aerospace Group
Greg Ward was named president
of the Aerospace Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics upon its
formation in December 2002. Crane Aerospace & Electronics is one of five
segments of Crane Co., a diversified manufacturer of engineered
industrial products with $2.1 billion in sales (2005). As president of the
Segment’s Aerospace Group, Ward is responsible for Aerospace Group
product solutions, including aircraft electrical power, fluid
management, landing systems, cabin, and sensing & utility systems.
Previously, Ward served as
president of the Hydro-Aire operation of Crane Aerospace & Electronics
in Burbank, California, after progressing through the ranks as vice
president of operations, vice president of engineering, vice president
of business development and senior vice president of customer
satisfaction and operations. Since joining Hydro-Aire in 1993, Ward has
improved customer satisfaction, maintained a driving enthusiasm for
continuous improvement in all facets of the business, and has shown a
genuine concern for the employees, customers and shareholders. Ward
attended accelerated study programs at the University of Michigan and
subsequently instituted several dynamic programs, including Operational
Excellence, Focused Factories, Lean Manufacturing, Group Technology and
Supply Chain Management. He has attended training and education programs
within AMA and related academic and industry sources.
Prior to joining Hydro-Aire,
Ward was with AAI ACL Technologies, Santa Ana, California, from 1982 to
1993 where he rose through various engineering and sales positions to
become executive vice president.
Before his tenure with AAI ACL,
Ward held several diverse positions, including owner of his own company,
Ski Plane, Inc., Vice President of Engineering for Down East Yachts,
Engineering Manager for Westsail, and Designer for Dimetric.
Ward attended California
Polytech, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 1974 from
California State University, Fullerton.
