ELDEC Electronics was founded in 1962 (as Grenson Electronics) by a group of engineers who specialized entirely in the design and manufacture of power supplies. Today, we are still dedicated to that aim and concentrate particularly on difficult environments, both electrical and mechanical.

Our Products

Our products range from low cost industrial units, to flight-critical avionics power units operating in extremes of temperature and vibration. From the beginning, ELDEC has been entrusted with the development of many ruggedised military power supply units and systems, gaining wide experience of the specification requirements in battlefield, naval and avionics environments. Where power and performance are critical, you can be assured of durability, reliability and quality in all of our products.

Expertise in military equipment can result in valuable spin-off to more commercial applications that also have demanding environments: Amongst the projects recently in development and production are rugged supplies for remote telecommunication stations …and triple redundant units for Automatic Train Protection (ATP) systems.

A catalogue of over 600 completed designs means that custom engineering can often be carried out without high levels of NRE. By incorporating standard solutions and design elements, we can reduce your costs and lead times, whilst giving you the confidence of knowing that your project is based upon well-proven technology.

Whether you need a product similar to one we already manufacture, a semi-custom design or a fully bespoke solution …our specialists take a special pride in responding with immediate, unbiased technical advice. If you wish, we will take full technical responsibility for developing the most cost-effective solution. Alternatively, our staff (of whom more than 25% are designers or engineers) will work in conjunction with your own experts.

Company Location

ELDEC Electronics Ltd. is located in Daventry, which is approximately 20 miles south east of Coventry. Travel to us by the M1 or A45. Birmingham Airport is 50 minutes away by car.

Quality

ELDEC has a Quality System certified to ISO 9001/ EN29001. We also have QA approvals from the majority of main UK Defence Contractors. All our pre-production prototypes undergo full Design Acceptance tests against the agreed specification, often with the welcome presence of our customer engineers. Production flow is fully documented and controlled providing traceability back to component suppliers. A full manufacturing drawing package is always produced and if required can be held in escrow for security.
