Brake Temperature Monitoring

Hydro-Aire manufactures Brake Temperature Monitoring Systems (BTMS). These systems are available as either a product integrated with brake control systems (such as the one provided for the USAF C-17), or as a stand-alone product. Accurate brake temperature measurements can be output to the cockpit to assist a pilot in determining safety of flight status. This data can be integrated into any cockpit interface (for example: EICAS, display panel, over-temperature indicator lights).

Typical BTMS features include:

High accuracy over wide monitored temperature range: -100C through +815C
Multiple Display Options
Platinum Resistance Temperature Probes mounted in the brake heat sink to reliably sense brake temperature
