High Speed TrainsA Hydro-Aire Braking System is being tested on the futuristic Maglev (Magnetic Levitation) Train in Japan. The Maglev train has traveled at speeds up to 550 kph (342 mph) while levitating about 4 inches above the track. The Hydro-Aire Braking System provides emergency braking for the Maglev train in the event of a failure of the magnetic levitation system. |
