Crane to provide new mcX Premium Modular Control System to Contour Aerospace
SEATTLE – December 1, 2011 – Crane Aerospace & Electronics has been selected by Contour Aerospace Limited to provide the new “next-generation” mcX Premium Modular Control System on Contour’s First Class Premium Seats for installation on commercial aircraft.
The new mcX Premium Modular Control System was introduced by Crane this year at the annual Aircraft Interiors show in Hamburg. The patent-pending modular system architecture reduces overall hardware and wiring complexity, provides improved maintainability, reliability and system diagnostics, and enables the system to be easily scalable and customizable.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics has over 60 years experience in aircraft seat control. Over 50,000 premium passenger seats are currently installed with Crane’s electronic actuation systems, and over 1.5 million main cabin seats are currently installed with Crane’s legacy recline systems, including Hydroloks, cables, and mechanical controls.
